Note: All of Hartmann's books have TWs, so please look them up before reading!! The books mentioned above are all standalone novels, but there are easter eggs in each of them that reference one another, so it's a really pleasant surprise especially if you read them all.Want to know what happens to a man who barely claws his way out of a tragedy, only to fall right into the arms of the one girl in the world he can never have? QUESTION: Have you read any of Hartmann's books? Which one is your favourite and why? Tropes involve pen pal, sworn off a relationship, opposites attractĪfter a tragic accident happens, Melody, who is still grieving over the loss of the love of her life, is desperate for a connection with her dead husband, so she reaches out to the recipient of her husband's heart and something unexpected unfolds. The Wrong Heart, in my opinion, is about love, loss, finding oneself and finding love again. Her love story with Parker was beautiful to read, and even though they are entirely different people, it's amazing how they found and love the best parts of each other, while also managing to heal and save one another from their own traumas. Spoiler: I loved reading about Melody's journey and how she overcomes her grief.

Credit has to go to the amazing voiceover actors - Stefanie Kay and Neill Thorne - who brought the audiobook to life because it made the whole experience so enjoyable. Hartmann's third novel that I literally just finished listening to the audiobook is The Wrong Heart, which I think is my favourite one from her. He returns 22 years later in one piece, trying to reconnect and live the life he never lived - what the hell happened to him? Oliver Lynch went missing on July 4th when he was a young boy, leaving behind his beloved childhood friend and family. The book is pretty slow, but I still enjoyed it nonetheless because the way Hartmann makes fictional characters come to life is fantastic. Hartmann's second novel that I've read is LOTUS, which I would consider a regular romance novel. Imagine being kidnapped with your soon-to-be brother-in-law, who is the one person you hate most in the world - what will happen when they have to rely on each other for survival? You will enjoy it if you like the enemies to lovers I think it's because it was one of the first fucked upīook that I've read.

You may have seen one or two of Jennifer Hartmann's books making their rounds on booktok, which was where I discovered the first book of hers that I have read - Still Beating, a dark romance novel that shocked me.
